Solar Station: Step-by-Step Construction Plans

Solar made: plug-in ready, multi-use, simple, DIY. This solar station can also double as a shelter to camp in, and can be easily transported from one area to another, as it easily fits on a trailer bed.

The plans include a complete tool and material list, detailed instructions for everything from the skid structure to battery storage and solar panel installation, and everything in between!

Pages: 70

Thank you for reporting that! I think I got it fixed.  Can you try again? It should be at the bottom of the thread, where attachments go.

Hi Nicole,

Would you please include a screenshot of where the attachment should be? All I see is an option to "purchase".  I've moused all over the screen (top to bottom) and can't seem to find a hyperlink to any download.

Thanks in advance,

Great manual!!  The only thing not clear is on page 6.....I presume orientation is towards true South?
That would make it 9 degrees off the compass south (171 degrees)?

So even when I got to “my stuff” it doesn’t show. This is really starting to frustrate me lol. Maybe I just need to try from a computer instead of my phone. Could someone just go the extra mile and PM me the link for it? Thanks!!

Phoenix, scroll back up to just before the second post of this thread. You should see a little file folder and a place to click to download it.

Dave posted a nice screenshot up above. His is mobile view, but it should be just above the second post in this thread on the desktop view, too:

Hallelujah!  After four attempts I finally got the file to download.  Not a problem from permies' end, but because of my sluggish satellite internet (compounded by COVID stay-at-home higher demand for the bandwidth).

I'm excited about implementing this project -- I've been wanting to replace my old PV system for some time because it's old and limping along.  I've also been in a quandary as to where to put the upgrade, because part of the problem has been that everything but the solar panels are inside my tiny house.  I have no room to expand, plus having the batteries in my house... well, let's just say that when we put together the initial setup 22 years ago we meant for it to be only temporarily in the house.

This is the perfect solution for me.  Thank you permies.com, and thank you Ben Peterson!
