Have air badges been made obsolete? I didn't see a reference for it in the SKIP book but I see references for it in the forums and the PEP-BB-Calculator-V1.5.xlsx
I'm guessing that air and sand badges are now just sand badges -- can someone please confirm? Thanks!
there are five levels of badges: air, sand, straw, wood, and iron. You won't see an air badge in my signature line as I've earned at least a sand badge in each of the 22 aspects.
Air badges are still part of the permies.com software.
You can see one in your own signature line as soon as you get a BB approved. You get one air badge per aspect (so a person could have 22) but they disappear when replaced with a higher level badge.
I hope I'm not being dense here but I'm still confused. What I infer is that an air badge is the easiest kind to achieve, so air < sand < straw. But I can't seem to find the air badges. For example, looking at Nest, it starts with sand badges. Same with Gardening in that it starts with sand.

The air badge is for the first BB in each category.

Yeah, the air badge isn't like a proper Sand or Straw badge. It's kind of a placeholder badge that says you did at least 1 BB from this whole aspect (say gardening). The BB could be from Sand, Straw, Wood or Iron. Once you completed that one BB, you get the Air badge.
