James Juczak is my fellow Homestead Shop Class teacher at the Permies.com lab in Montana and the author of the amazing book The High Art and Subtle Science of Scrounging detailing so many of the ways you can live an abundant well fed life just by knowing how to find the things that other people are throwing away and knowing what to do with them. If we are ever headed even remotely NorthEast we stop and see his family and check out his latest build. This visit from 2017 is particularly good for catching the place in the daylight (he is offgrid).

I just saw the promotional post for the 2021 Rocket Mass Heater Jamboree and found the bio for James. The two photos of his home made me want to see more, so I'm happy to find this video tour.
