I do not know which forum to use, so I am posting this in the Rocket Oven location. I have just finished watching an hour long video/podcast on YouTube of a man in China, I think he's in China, who lost his job in the city and moved into a home that was last occupied by his late Grandmother. It was in sorry condition. He cleaned up the yard, re-built walls, re-built an outdoor oven, then inside the home he repaired what I can only described as a very large rocket mass heater upon which he put his mattress, pillows and blankets. He started a fire in the hollow of the platform and went to sleep. WOW.

If anyone wants inspiration, check out this video. The only name/label I found was "After  being fired". This is well worth watching if you are thinking of renovating a homestead in sorry condition.

This is the video she mentioned.  I watched quite a bit of it but haven't seen a rocket heater/stove yet.

At about 38 minutes he builds a platform, installs a flue and builds a fire under it.
I think it is a like a Korean style Ondol (heated floor) - although this one is a sleeping platform. I wouldn't say it was a rocket stove, just a fire and flue, with a thermal store. Given the use of what appear to be concrete blocks, I don't think it would stand the heat of a rocket. I don't see why the concept couldn't be applied to a rocket stove though to give a heated surface sort of like a bell?
