My wife and I have 40 acres of pretty good land (mostly class II agricultural soils, decent well, large pond, seasonal creek) in the Willamette Valley with the intention of turning this into a commercially viable permaculture/regenerative ag operation, and we need one or more partners to help us make it all happen. We are sincere, caring, and pragmatic people who know how to collaborate and cooperate. We are looking for people with similar qualities who are passionate about permaculture methods, and ready to pour their heart, energy, and back into this project. There is a huge amount that needs to be done.

Although younger people still finding their direction are welcome to reach out, we're looking primarily for long-term partners, people who want to make their home here and share in the rewards of what we build together. I really think this is a great opportunity for someone who is truly motivated and inspired by all the permaculture brilliance but who may not be able to afford their own land (or maybe who could, but knows that they don't want to do it alone). Families are especially encouraged to reach out.

I wouldn't quite call it a "position," but yes. Anyone who is interested should feel free to reach out and let me know a bit about themselves, their skills, interests, needs, and desires - and we will see if we match. The project will (hopefully) be around for quite a while and continuing to evolve in both its needs and what it has to offer, so whenever you come across this, if you're interested, get in touch.

Hey Edward. Been hearing some good things about the Willamette valley. I am a semi-retired carpenter. Might be time to be a farmer. I am finishing up my warm time in San Diego and heading north to the Sacramento area where I have grandkids. My background includes managing and starting from scratch 3 juice bars, 2 that were in health food stores.  I grew wheatgrass and sunflower sprouts in the basement for the store. Stumbled on a unique method with the sunflower sprouts where you utilize just water, sunshine, and weights to trick the sprouts that they are underground. Great harvests. Interested in your long term plans and of course being curious to have hands on with permaculture. My #619-626-9531. Hope to hear from you and please text-too many scam calls. Or e-mail-   nowknow316@gmail.com thanks, Freddie Vedder

Hi Edward,
I am interested! Long story short, soon I will finally be free to move out of the Bay Area with my kind, quiet, smart, and helpful 15-year-old son. My aging mother is in Portland, so I wouldn't mind being closer to her (how far are you from Portland?). I have been doing edible landscaping and propagation here as a hobby and been a nanny and doing odd admin-type work for a living. I have lots of diverse skills: nonprofit management, website construction, writing/editing, fixed a washing machine last winter...always learning. I did an ecological art thesis at Reed College (no wonder I'm a nanny, right? Haha).
I studied Permaculture with the Bullocks, Pilarsky, and Rick Valley; pond building with Jim Mollison, joined in on the Village Building Convergence in PDX while there, and nerd out on farming, homesteading, and natural building videos. I have also worked on self stuff (co-counseling), community, and social skills (NVC aka Compassionate Communication).
I am wondering how you define the word "partner;" I'd love to discuss this further. I am really ready for homesteading. Please text and let me know if you want to talk 503-351-6032.

I'm interested in talking with you about your post, as this sounds like could be a great deal, and we could both benefit working together. I've started looking into permaculture/food forests, and am looking for hands on experience, and for somewhere to have long term to share with like minded souls. Contact me at 9seven0-5three1-4five87. My name is Shaun

Hello! My name is Bryant. I have a small and growing family in Corvallis. I’ve been renting my home for 8 years but have built a decent homestead here. I’ve grown deep roots in this little 5 acre plot and the community has been great to us. My wife and I were married a few houses down where my son’s homeschool group began 5 years ago.
Unfortunately, my landlord isn’t willing to sell. I thought if I built infrastructure and planted enough trees it would somehow be ours.. I guess things don’t work that way.. ha! Now as we look for homes with similar acreage in our price range we’re realizing how far away we’d have to move to afford it
I’ve never been a fan of selling myself but a few quick things about me.. I have a building business, been in construction for 15 years, raise rabbits/pigs/lamb/goats and butcher my own meat, bow hunt, help with homeschool groups(tanning and mushroom classes) commercial mushroom picker, practice biodynamics and love talking about permaculture.
Maybe this was an overshare but it was exciting to see your post. Hope to talk more soon.
