Bitsii in Inaka is an American woman who is slowly renovating a akiya is Shikoku, Japan. In this video, she looks at Japan's cottage silk-making tradition and talks about how the approach and philosophy of traditional slow silk making informs her attitude and pace of work in the Japanese countryside.

All of her videos are lovely and feel like a deep exhalation, but this one seemed to dovetail with many of the thoughts expressed by people on this forum and their approach to making and using, and the flow of life many people here prefer.

Thanks for posting this. I've had it sitting in a tab, waiting for the right time to watch. I wish more of it had been about 'slow craft', but it was worth the 25 minutes spent on it!
