Yes, you can eat them fresh-picked, which is my favorite as there isn't any other bean that can come close to the taste, or you can dry them for shelled beans.
Many older people from around here dry them into what we Appalachians call shuckie beans. Anyway, they're delicious and a very expensive bean selling anywhere between 6 and $10 a pound.
I’m totally sold on greasy beans, even though I’m on the Illinois-Wisconsin line, they grow great here. I do not intend to ever go back to growing common snap beans.
