hand-made custom sewn and felted figure

Is there a character or beloved that you would like to be made into an all-natural, posable figure or doll? I can make one for you!

The body of the figure will have a wire armature covered with layers of handspun/felted wool for a durable, posable figure.

Forming a needle-felted wool doll
Forming the body: (1) Needle felt the head (2) Wrap the body with hand-spun wool yarn, (3) Wet and needle felt any stray fibres

For straight hair, I will use cotton embroidery floss, and for curly hair, I will handspin wool to match the hair color and steam it into curls. I will match both the skin tone and hair color to whatever you would like.

The clothing will be handsewn from natural materials (wool, linen, or cotton) to the design of your choice.

Each figure will be about 4-5 inches in height, and can come with two handmade accessories of your desire. Below are some accessories I have made in the past, but I can likely make what you want.

Some of the accessories I have made

Please PM me--or reply in this thread--with information about what you would like me to make. I would love to know things like skin color, hair color/texture/length, clothing colors and styles, what accessories you want, etc. I want to make sure your figurine is just the way you want it!

I would like to buy a Wizzard similar to this one with red (dirty red is good) robes.

For my two accessories, I would like
- a pointy hat
- a staff

Wonderful! Thank you so much for all that description!

I'm seeing both white and brown beards depicted for him--do you have any preference on color?

For the staff, would white work, or would you like it stained or colored a different color? Are there any depictions of the staff or preferences there, or should I just let the wood tell me what it wants to be?

I'm going to see if I can do some simple embroidery around the edges of his robe and to put "wizzard" on his cap. It'll be pretty tiny, though! Thankfully, it says he does a poor job or putting "wizzard" on it, so that should account for anything awry in my embroidery.

I wonder if I can find tiny sequins to put on his robe....Do they even make sequins that tiny? I wonder if there's a way to put a star on the top? I'm getting really excited about seeing what I can do!

Beard/hair - White-ish seems more wizzardly to me.

Staff - Can I leave this to you to decide what fits well with him?  He probably won't use it much, but a wizzard in that world tends to have a staff.

It would be great if he had some hint of "wizzard" on the hat.  I didn't know if it would be too small for the whole word, but sort of an indication there was words there once would be great.

I don't know anything about sequins.  But I love this quote

...embroidered on it in big silver letters by someone whose needlework is even worse than their spelling

It's the quote that made me fall in love with the character.  Considering the spelling on the Discworld is so 'creative' to begin with, this wizzard must be almost as dyslexic as me.

My wizzard in the potato patch.

Given his love of potatoes, I thought it appropriate.  Although he did get a bit frightened of a dragonfly and ran away.

I wish I could say that was intentional.

but it looked so good, I couldn't help it.

The staff is awesome for keeping him upright on difficult ground.

I can't wait to see what happens! You're so much more creative when it comes to picture taking and story making than I am. It is so much fun seeing your pictures--it brings me such joy!

The longest recorded flight time of a chicken is 13 seconds. But that was done without this tiny ad:
