I live in the desert , lots of predators. Coyotes, wild or uncared for dogs, bears and whatever else. I have a yard surrounded by a block fence.
My 13 ducks do not have a pond. Though over many years of farm life I have not raised ducks. Learning the hard way they are very nervous about change or noise.
They were hatched in July and August of last year.

I am glad to see the duck and geese forum.

It is great to learn about your ducks.

Since your ducks do not have a pond, do they have a place where they can swim?  Something like a kiddie pool might work.
