Following on from a topic here, I added fish to one of my dams.
In the hours since I have discovered the benefit of adding artificial habitat for the fish for protection and maybe additional food.

I have Australian Silver Perch and I am wondering if additional food attaches itself to the artificial habitat material?

Fish habitat
yes, the periphyton grows and attaches in a matter of days. This is what the small fish eat first when born.
The details are at fishiding.com
