Hey, I just posted in the ecovillage forum as well, but I saw that there's lots of people interested in southern Indiana so I wanted to shared here as well.  This is a reflection on the experience of launching a suburban permie ecovillage by its founder, Ann.  She also shares a broader vision of transitioning the suburbs through permacultural "retrofitting," and digs in on the problems posed by intergenerational living.  Here's the article:

Thank you for sharing this! What an inspirational project! I've been reading more about it and some of the struggles it has had to face and am astonished by the wisdom and grace of this woman and community. Definitely much to be learned here!
This idea of retrofitting is certainly something I would like to cultivate in my neighborhood and I hope to see more folks doing it too!
