Hi, we have a combined 40 acre gold claim in the mountains of Oregon that we would like to trade for a smaller plot on a farm or within a small community a little closer to the ocean, but off the grid if possible, far away from populated areas if possible. We are completely self sufficient, require no hookups, and need only to have our camp near a clean water source and enough space for our gardens and dogs. We’d mostly like to be tucked away in our own little space (3-5 acres) that is safe enough to leave alone for periods while we travel. We’d like a place that could use guardian dogs so our pups can have a job, but it’s not a deal breaker if that isn’t available. We have an rv that is outfitted with a wood stove, composting toilet, and solar, so we are off grid ready. We also have a couple large canvas bell tents for extra living space, and may or may not want to some day make room for another couple to have their own space within our plot to share life’s chores.
We can help out when we are there, and would try to plan our travels around times when help is most needed, and if our dogs are working for the farm, we’d be happy to leave them home to do their job and provide for their needs. Our ultimate goal while traveling would be to seek out other small communities that are staying to themselves with no online presence, and create a grid for those of us who would like safe, reliable connections. When that project is complete, we’ll settle in, expand our gardens, and maybe get some goats, turkeys and chickens. If you have a large piece of property and would like a couple respectful neighbors, please reach out with your thoughts and let’s see if we vibe!
Thanks everyone who reads and responds! Sharry
