I am very pleased to announce that Spring 2013 Sepp Holzer will give be giving three 5 Day Intensives in the United States.

The workshops will be held in Montana, Minnesota, and California. Sepp will be in the United States from March 21st - April 10th.

This will also be the start of a new Certification Program. This program will be the equivalent to Sepp's training at the Krameterhof, only offered right here in the United States!

A team of Holzer's Austrian and American students (Permavitae and Holzer AgroEcology) have been working together to bring the global Holzer Permaculture movement to the USA!

The Russians are coming! The Russians are coming! Well, maybe. Sepp may be bring ten Russians with interpreter to add to the American/Austrian flavor.

Here's a poster of our up and coming presentation at the Zeitgeist (Spirit Of the Times) here in Duluth, Minnesota. Any travelers interested in coming can message me for accommodations.

The folks working on the sepp visit sent me email saying "What will it take to get you to come to minnesota?" i replied that it might be possible. Maybe it would help sell some tickets. I suppose I could even show up at the end of the detroit thing and attend the beginning of the minnesota thing. I said I would, at the very least, need to have my airfare and other expenses covered.

I haven't heard anything back on that.

I live in Oregon, but the Minnesota one might actually work best for me. I'm traveling this spring. If Paul is there too...

Sepp will be only 90 minutes from my place! Kind of a tease... I'm currently day dreaming and sketching up maps to Seppify my northern 40 acres.

Bozeman to Minnesota is fairly quick, best done at night lol my spot is halfway between fargo and Minneapolis, and then Duluth is 2.5 hours north from there, which is a very pretty drive. A bit early in the season though...but at least no bugs, good for earthworks.

I just signed up for the Minnesota workshop. I think it will be too cold at that time of year for me to want to camp -- any one know of any home hospitality available?

I live on Manitoulin Island ( my farm is near Tehkummah,Ontario) , so I may drive to the border (4.5 hrs) and fly from the US side of Saul Ste Marie. I would consider driving the whole way if I found someone to share the driving.

I am pumped! Hope to see Paul there too. I would be interested in communicating ahead of time with anyone else who is going to be there. I am planing my earthworks now - hope to get lots of great ideas from this workshop.

I'm planning to head to Duluth from Northfield. Looking for ride share - have good, small car. By then I'll know whether I got the 5 acre farm that I need to permify.

Ive emailed the team and called Chad in Duluth but haven't heard back yet - I am in Alexandria and would be so interested to pay Sepp and Paul for a consultation or see if they want to do a 2-3 day workshop. Im wondering if its too late for adding on more dates? Im about 4 hours from Duluth - will very likely attend.

It's almost unbelievable that Sepp is coming to Minnesota, and starting a certification program! I cannot wait to start. I've registered and will be working on the certification. I really hope you can join Paul, I'd even pay extra to have a whole Paul day. I feel like this is the opportunity of the year and I'm glad I went for it.

We've got some great accomodations. We've got a wigwam and tipi for people to stay in or we could probably find a friend's house to stay in. Our project in October, nobody even pitched a tent, half the people stayed at friend's places and the rest slept in the wigwam and tipi. Otherwise, we'll be sending out info emails to those registerd.

If folks want me to do more than bozeman, I need to get some email or something about that. I don't need to get paid, but I would want my expenses covered. And I would far prefer to stay in a permie house or someplace where there are lots of permie people than some hotel. If you want me to take ownership of speaking or presenting or consulting - then, yeah, I would want to get paid for that. But if we are just hanging out with sepp, then I don't need to be paid.

I already signed up, but not just for Sepp...

Met Chad and Zach (series planners) at a Keyline Design workshop taught by Darren Doherty in fall of 2012. Those gentlemen (all of them) are SMART.

Saw photos of new earthworks on Chad's land in MN, and it's on the way to being a Minnesota Krameterhof.

So: Sepp + Great Projects + Team Sepp + 1st Step to Holzer Certification = GOTTA BE THERE

Spirit Mountain pasture before and after pictures. We've gotten word that Sepp is really excited and has taken on a whole new energy as he gears up for America. With the Krameterhof being the only fully functioning model of its kind in the world, Sepp's eager to create some masterpieces and begin his legacy with models and students. I'm looking forward to soaking up the coming experience. Another sweet secret is going to be Sepp's protege, the fiery Margaret of Perma Vitae.

I'm very excited about this news and hope there are still spots available, especially for Minnesota as thats the closest to Boston. But I'm a little confused about:
This will also be the start of a new Certification Program
. What does this mean? Wil there be a PDC tacked on to the end of the 5 days with Sepp? What is the Certification Program?

Thanks,
Elia

This is definitely NOT a PDC. This is a certification in "Holzer Permaculture" which is a different approach than "permaculture".

I think attending a PDC would be more structured, formal and easier. A PDC will talk about the three ethics and the twelve (or fourteen) principles. A PDC will cover a lot of things that Sepp won't touch.

Holzer Permaculture is going to cover a lot of things that a PDC won't touch. Like growing citrus outdoors in cold climates and sealing a pond without a liner.

Holzer Permaculture is going to be more advanced.

I had no problem emailing the workshop coordinator at Minnesota@HolzerAgroEcology.com. And everyone I communicated with before and after the registration process has been helpful and professional. Thanks to the Holzer AgroEcology team!

The 'z' and 'l' were transposed in Holzer in the email link, that's why it bounced. - Chad, get it fixed.

No big deal.

As Grant so nicely pointed out the 'z' and 'l' were transposed in "Holzer" in the email. The website has been updated, I apologize for the typo.

Thank you everyone for your interest, it's great to hear from so many enthusiastic people who want to learn from Sepp! For those of you interested in attending, that have not yet registered, I recommend registering soon.

Enrollment keeps coming in, the seminars are filling up nicely and should be full soon. Duluth only has a couple spaces left and the other aren't far behind!

Amazing things to come this spring! I attached the before and after pictures of Sepp's project in Portugal, from Desert to Paradise!

Incredibly excited to have started the process to register for the Bozeman event. Just waiting to hear how to proceed with payment drawn from a Canadian account, and a few other little questions about facility, food, etc.

What I noticed when I double-checked the registration page this morning (like a former teenager nervously waiting for a phone call...check the line...is it working?) is that it appears more spaces have been added to the Bozeman Workshop.

People, can we get a WOO?
Then, can we get a HOO?!

Nice work!

If there are any other Albertans or folks along I85 who are interested in maybe pooling down, message here and I'd love to see if we can work something out. My brother; he loves a valid reason to bust out the bus.

To all of you who have lost blood, sweat, maybe tears, and likely humanure to making this event possible...I extend my most sincere thanks.

I just signed up for the Duluth workshop too and hope to work toward Sepp's certification. I will be traveling from Pennsylvania (close to Erie). I would be interested in hearing from anyone attending between here and there. I will also need to figure out something for lodging arrangements. Spring that far north might be a bit cool for camping. Any help with that would be appreciated. Sepp Holzer's Permaculture was the first book that I read on Permaculture and it definitely ignited the spark. I CAN HARDLY WAIT!

Hey Permies,

Like I said above, I'm going to the Duluth workshop. I live in the Twin Cities and I'd like to put it out there that I'd be happy to help in whatever way I can for people that are also going, I'm sure we could figure out a ride-share and such. Let's make this a great event!

Hey Permies,

Sorry to keep "spamming" this post, but I wanted to point out for those that might not see, I made a thread about bringing Paul to the Duluth spring workshop. If you think this is a good idea and want to see it happen, make it known. I think it'd be a great addition.

This really is just amazing, I'm going to the California Workshop because it's just so much closer to where I live. If anyone from Southern Oregon, N. Calif. wants to ride share I have room for one in my pick -up truck plus plenty room for camping supplies. Preferable to those near to hwy 101 or 5. You can private message me. I am Registering (with luck) this friday 2/8 when all my funds come together, so PM me here next week if you'd like to travel together.

Hi Zach, or anyone else in the know on the certification process. Are the dates for the summer portion of the certification process known; specifically for Bozeman? Excited to be a part of this training! Thanks.
