this was a good one, I put it on facebook, hope people will listen to it. I didn't realize that my leafcutter bees and some others were in the same class as mason bees and I was not aware that brushpiles and hollow trees and logs were used by them, which I have gobs of on my property. I always leave lots of standing dead perennial parts in the gardens and pond areas and keep most of my brush on my property in piles in the woods, so I guess maybe I'm doing the right thing for my mason bees. Love to watch them by the thousands in the mud in the spring.
