My partner and I wildcraft chanterelles here in Oregon. Just this year we have made a conscious effort to throw all of the unused (slimy) ones into our 11 acre woodlot instead of into the vermiculite bins. Given that our environment is ostensibly hospitable, hopefully if we continue this for a few years, perhaps we will get them introduced.
