I feel your pain. I've been fighting our walnut trees since we moved here. They did a number on my tomatoes and rhubarb. They're a beautiful part of the yard, but I'm leaning towards cutting them down and selling them. Until then, I'll be doing raised beds for most of my stuff.

No, it is run by this-land.org. It is only open on weekends and is currently closed until September I think.

I am in that area, between Hanover and Fallsburg. I've mostly been finding resources online. There is a permaculture nursery in Cincinnati, but that's a bit of a haul. I've been ordering plant cuttings online as it's much more economical and growing from seed where I can.

Yes. There are morning glories growing in the field.

They are very firm, less porous and less water content than a potato. They were underground and came up when I tilled for the mangels. They are very bright white when cleaned off. They don't have any type of noxious smell, and there wasn't anything else attached to them.

I found these while I was planting some mangels tonight. They have a very thin skin. the smallest is about pea sized. They're pure white when you cut them in half. They don't have a lot of smell that gets past the dirt smell. I am in east central Ohio.

Thanks,
Jeff

Got my cuttings today. They looked great and there were so many! How small do you cut them when you plant them? I've read of people cutting them as small as 1 cm.

Thanks!
Jeff
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good nursery in Ohio. I'm in east central Ohio but would be willing to travel. I've been ordering a lot of plants online. I'd like to find a good nursery that understands permaculture with people I could ask for guidance.

Thanks,
Jeff
