Help start a permaculture Homestead/Farm. Room & board provided.

Peach Ridge Farm is looking for four bright, hard working volunteers to train as crew. Located 5 miles outside of Athens, Ohio in the foothills of Appalachia, we are a working farm specializing in pasture based dairy and meat, raising cows, pigs, goats and ducks. This is our first season, and we are building infrastructure and living off-grid. Crew members will divide time between daily farm chores and building projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about farming, building, business administration, project management and more.

Candidates should be motivated, positive, emotionally mature and ready to take initiative. Candidates should be prepared to camp and live off-grid. The position is unpaid and includes a small room in our cabin or camping and plenty of healthy food like fresh raw milk, homemade bread and veggies from the garden. A good personality fit is a must. Hi my name is Alexandra Budz,

I am a recent graduate of Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH. I have always loved gardening , and my family tries to use organic produce, meats, etc. and I have become very interest, in doing more. I don't not really have a great deal of experience with permacullture farming, but have done a great deal of research and I would love to learn more.
