Amelia Arbor wrote:I bought it and I'm honestly loving the book.

I'd love to discuss the future of it/ Perhaps a future physical copy ?
And what that copy may look like?

I'd love a sort of checklist book, with space to create physical copies of what I send off to be certified .

If I wanted to take physical pictures of my projects and place them in the book is kind of what I'm talking about.

Perhaps like a keepsake? Something you could show to people in person too.

The physical book will have checkboxes.  As for placing physical pics in the book - I'm not sure what you have in mind.  I can say that the physical book is pretty packed!

Got it! Excited to go through the book now and if notes on little glitches are helpful, then I'll track them here.

1. "Access to a secret forum" (p. 14) brings me to --> Oooops.. You don't have sufficient privileges to access this forum
(I'll send this now and edit to add other items ... so that this doesn't get lost in the ethers)

(24 hours later) 2. I'm challenged to find a second one ... still looking, but mostly enjoying!

Is anybody else having this problem?

Jane, any chance you weren't logged in?

Hello, everyone!  First off, great site, great forum and great books!  I'm finishing up "Creating A Better World" and just got the SKIP book as well.

I am having the same problem as Jane Lewis.  When I try to access any of the extra bonuses in the eBook (secret forum, videos, etc.) I get the same "Ooooops..." error message for all of them.  And I did it both by logging in after I clicked the links and also by logging in first and then clicking the links.  Same result both times.  Any ideas?

I found the problem.  It is a bright red flashing light that says "paul screwed this up."  I have emailed devaka and asked him if it can be fixed.  More news soon.

Hi, I sent one of the three early release links I got to an otis friend of mine and he wasn't able to access it. First he said that he wasn't able to access the captcha site. I guess he figured that out somehow, and then said that it didn't work on his phone, and he saw a comment somewhere that it doesn't work as well on a mobile device. He's not very computer savy, being a draft dodging norther homesteader in his late 70s and all.. I told him I'd loan him my copy of the physical book when it comes out later this year.

Ryan, sounds like he needs an epub reader.

Hi Paul,

I backed the kickstarter and opted to donate physical books as I'm in europe, but seem to have missed the email where I could ask for a couple of ebooks for myself, is it too late?

Thanks
Lesley

As it's an eBook, you need an eBook reader.  There are some good ones and there are some free ones.  I use Thorium.  It's free and it's tolerable.

Many thanks Paul, I found them all in "Gifts I manage", wow I have a load of goodies, had no idea there was so much there. I must have missed the Skip book questionnaire as I wanted the printed copies to go to a good cause, as the shipping to Europe is so onerous. Not been well, so have an excuse for being dumb!  Thanks for another great kickstarter.

Hello I just purchased the ebook and the download file does not open. What is the necessary program needed for this? I've tried changing it to pdf and word and photo viewer but nothing works for it.

It is not a pdf, it is an epub.  You need an epub reader.

Hi there, I’m based in the UK and have just bought the Skip ebook. I downloaded it and all I have is the title of the book and nothing else. Could you help me out with this please? I saved the download to Dropbox and I still don’t have the book. Best, Gemma
