Even though Appropedia is a wiki, it is not an encyclopedia. Appropedia welcomes original research, how-to's, literature reviews and more.

Permaculture.info has been down for a couple of weeks, and I haven't heard from the admin. There's a lot of good info on the site, so I hope all is well.

We keep backups of the Appropedia wiki, and make them publicly available - always good to have backups! We also have several admins, which helps to share the load - but always looking for more help, to enable us to develop the site more.

I just realized that Permies.com has a thread (maybe more than one?) mentioning Appropedia. I thought I'd mention that I think it's a very good and definitely evolving site:

I like that they explore concept-projects over time and make every attempt to report on them accurately and honestly.

Sustainability, resource conservation, green practices, self-reliance and community self-reliance.

The site has reportedly had 75-million views
