That's a bit outside of my range. Although I have been wanting to see a thing in denver https://meowwolf.com/visit/denver
I wonder if there could be a series of potlucks there and a different series to come back.

Just a thought, what about a Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, etc. series? Start in one state then do a circle back to the beginning. Living in Kansas there is the Kansas Permaculture Institute doing projects throughout the state. It would just be a matter of getting things set up in each state.

I'm thinking Paul might be keen on something like this if people do the organizing. I know he's usually overworked with too many things on his plate and note enough hours in the day. But, if people get everything set up, that makes it a lot easier and probably more feasible.

Nobody has invited me yet.
My current thinking is the northern bit is on the edge of my range. Of course, if I am in the northern bit of utah, and somebody wants me to go 3 hours further, i would maybe be good with that.

I could host a bbq or something in Salt Lake, but we don't have much of any permies related stuff going on at our house. I've got some earthen building stuff going on down in Escalante area, but that's pretty far outside your range.

I would be willing to host a potluck in Sedro Woolley, WA. If you have potential interest in coming to the area. I could also post to the Regenerate Cascadia group and see level of interest.
What are the approximate dates of the trip?

roberta mccanse wrote:Certainly I could get a group together in Libby, any date that is convenient for Mr Wheaton. Again, I have a guest room and could provide accommodations in two bedrooms with separate bath. I have a “no steps” entrance option and am aging in place. The rooftop garden is a bit of an uphill hike, needs grandson muscle to neaten it up. Dogs and cats live here.
I will try to make Sandpoint but would enjoy putting something together here in Libby.

This is such a fun idea! If you are still looking for more stops on your trip, we would be wiling to host a potluck at our home. It would be nice to connect with more people who are interested in permaculture in our local area. We live in Salkum WA. Its just outside Chehalis/Centralia WA and only about 2 hours from Portland. We have 7 acres and a creek and swimming hole that's gorgeous this time of year. We have some homestead projects like a small orchard, garden, foraging on our land, and chickens, but are relatively new to homesteading/permaculture. We'd love to have a conversation and share inspiration for simple and bountiful living!
I can make a really good pie! But I also love cooking "food as medicine" style.
We are available anytime August 10th-Sept 2nd.
Best,
Emily and Jared

I'd previously met Paul at Dr. Vicki Watson's in Missoula a few years ago, and would love to host him for a potluck and discussion.
