This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in earthworks.

Here is a demonstration in makign a clay-lined pond.

From the video description:
"See the construction of a clay lined pond. This pond is approximately 300 square feet, 2 feet deep designed to add diversity to the permaculture site. The catchment comes mostly via the driveway through a swale, and overflows through a pipe with a baffle into another swale."

To get certified for this BB, post pictures or a video (2 minutes or shorter) that demonstrate the following:
  - the creation of a small pond that holds water without a liner
  - about 20 feet in diameter
  - at least 4 feet deep
  - proper dam and spillway
  - seed disturbed soil
Then YOU must do the pig's work! Read this tiny ad. READ IT!
