How to Use a Drawknife - Peeling Logs



From the video description:
"Columbus McKinnon Drawshave Review. How to peel a log with a drawknife / drawshave, known to some as debarking. I am using a 13-inch Columbus McKinnon Draw Shave, the end goal is to build a small log cabin."

The requirements for this BB are to drop at least 12 trees 8" or larger in diameter and do the following:
     o at least one 14” tree
     o at least one with hand tools (bow saw, cross cut saw, axe, etc)
     o take pics to prove proper tree harvest selection
     o set aside at least three logs
           - full tree length
           - peeled
           - up off the ground for proper air drying
                  o does not need to be under a roof
           - completion pic
     o all dropped trees are properly cared for
           - each tree is used in some way or is preserved for future use
           - no trees are left on the ground to rot
     o document proper tree selection

To get certified for this BB, post the following (as pictures or a short video):
     o cutting a tree with a hand tools
     o 12 cut down trees
     o proper tree selection
     o three peeled logs off the ground (completion shot)
     o at least a paragraph about your tree selection
