This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Nest.

In this Badge Bit, you will install a dehumidifier that will drain into a greywater drain or other drain. (Note that this BB is part of a 2-part choose your own adventure list BB called the Alice List. You must complete two Badge Bits in the Alice List.)

Some articles and videos about installing partial and whole-house dehumidifiers:
How to Install a Basement Dehumidifier

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are you must install a dehumidifier that will drain into a greywater drain or other drain.

To document this BB, post pictures or a 2-minute video depicting the following:
  • Before: Area without dehumidifier, where the dehumidifier will be installed
  • Action 1: The materials you will be using
  • Action 2: You installing the dehumidifier and/or the drain line
  • After 1: Dehumidifier installed, with drain trap
  • After 2: The other end of the dehumidifier drain line
