Here is my submission for the Woodland Care - Sand - Split and Stack a Dead Standing Tree BB.

To document the completion of the BB, I have provided the following:
 - Your dead standing wood you are starting with
 - The wood cut
 - starting the stack (and it is clear that the wood is all about 15 to 16 inches long)
 - the stack about 2/3 done (still clear that all of the wood is all about 15 to 16 inches long)
 - the completed stack (still clear that all of the wood is all about 15 to 16 inches long)

one-half of a face-cord is 4-ft by 4-ft by the depth of the firewood.

This one was a little tricky with spring finally here the garden takes priority over the logging so I finally got around to splitting it after a few weeks of letting the logs just sit in the barn one rainy day

Sorry the dimensions of the stack is about 6.5ft x 2ft so a little wonky to the required 4ft x 4ft but I hope that can be overlooked. I stacked it that way because the studs of the wall are holding it up.

I built a fire-wood rack as a dimensional lumber BB, so I might as well put some wood on it.

I cut up two small dead trees one weekend but it wasn’t enough, so I cut up another larger one this past Saturday and now it totals more than the 1/2 face cord this BB requires. (42” high by 62” wide is 2604 sqin = 18+ sqft.)

I cut a length of dowel to 15.5” that I took into the field and used when making my chainsaw cuts.

The two dead standing from other BBs were bucked and split for future RMH firewood. The split pile is 16"x72", about 8 square feet or half a face cord:

Note: It is unclear from the photographs how much wood was actually started with and how much was stacked.  The requirements require proof of the size of the stack and you will need to show the length of the timber.

Note: We need to see the full height of that stack. With that width the pic looks a little short of half a cord.

I was going by the original wiki entry that said a face chord was 4'x4'.  Disregard I guess.
