Wheaton Labs Fall Fest!
October 23-27, 2023 at Wheaton Labs
in Missoula Montana

Come to Wheaton Labs this October to help finish innovative projects, learn some essential skills from instructors, and mingle with a community that eats, lives, and breathes permaculture 24/7!  This unique opportunity offers a select few the chance to work closely with experienced experts and pick up some homesteading skills along with the accomplishment of completing some projects started at the PTJ.  Think of it like a mini-PTJ gathering!  We'd love to invite you!

If you have been to Wheaton Labs before, or backed one of Paul's kickstarter at $100 or more, congrats!  You get free admission to this event.  Just email us at PA at permies.com and let us know you want to come, when you've visited WL before (or paid $100 to Paul's stuff), and we'll get you sorted.

Here are the details:

Labs Fallfest runs from Monday through Friday, 10.23.23 - 10.27.23  But arrive Sunday the 22nd to get settled and orientated.

A 5-day ticket is $200 for new attendees

Wheaton Labs Alumni are invited to join us in the event for free.

Ticket includes 5 days of interactive, hands-on learning, completing projects of your choice that might include:

Root cellar and well pump house needs some love before winter - this could include some earthworks
Earthen floor for the new Yurt
Landscaping around the grape arbors including a rock bordered hugelkultur raised bed
Working on a humus well

(Remember, this project list is not final and is subject to change.)

Since Paul loves you so much, he will share boot-style food.  That's a wide variety of vegetarian staples but we have to cook it ourselves and clean up after ourselves.  Tent sites are free but bunks would need to be paid for.

Rent a bunk!

$200.00

Now that fall fest is wrapping up, I have some memories to share:

Did you know that if you come to Wheaton Labs, Paul might personally teach you how to light a Rocket Mass Heater?

I got to write my name in the snow for the first time!

https://permies.com/t/232158/a/225206/thumb-20231026_160156.jpg

With the help of Uncle Mud, I baked a lovely cob doughnut on the Batch Box RMH in the classroom....

and gave it to Boot Stephen to thank him for being so awesome with all of us visitors.

He liked it!

D'awwwwwww...! I'm blushing.

We don't have time for this. We've gotta save the moon! Or check this out:
