I see that you are looking for people who are experienced, and although we are not in any way experienced in permaculture, we are looking for something very similar to what you are. We just got back to Florida after traveling for a few months and ready to stay in one spot and begin to learn the skills we need to have our own homestead one day. We are both artistic and spiritual people and we would love to talk with you about Anthony’s recent spiritual awakening. We are really looking forward to meeting people that can offer us knowledge, skills, and life guidance that we did not have family to pass on to us.

Beginner couple looking for a mentor and labor needed to barter for land.

We are a 22 and 25 year old couple (Anthony & Michayla) who is looking for land to live on in exchange for labor around the property, or any other work you may have for us. Anthony (25) has experience in pest control & some handy-man skills, but other than that we only have blue collar experience. We are hoping that through mentorship we can gain knowledge and eventually take on more responsibilities in exchange for a place on your property to build a tiny home or if not possible, just park a camper van. We are hoping that through this symbiotic relationship we can gain the hands on experience to begin our own homestead one day. We are quiet, humble, artistic, free minded people with a sweet dog named Harper, who has more farm experience than we do (:

Hello, young couple ready to pay our boot camp fee and get groovin (as soon as we make sure everything can work out). I’m a bit confused because I saw somewhere say it takes one month of boot camp to get land but somewhere else says 4 months. What are the sleeping arrangements before those 1-4 months? Commute? I ask because I have a (very well behaved farm) dog who gets nervous in a new situation. She has never barked at anyone but has more of a docile response to her anxiety. She lived on a farm for 4 years and has been camping many times near other people, she only gets anxious in closed quarters near people. Due to my own fears I never have her off leash and she is the definition of lazy farm dog so I know once we are on our own land she will find her lay spot and spend most of her hours in that spot.
