I like to mix a tablespoon of edible diatomaceous earth in a spray bottle with Everclear and spray my legs down with it if I feel an itch.
It will kill those little critters really quickly and the itch vanishes!  Then if my legs feel dry, I rub coconut oil on them.
Or if you have a bottle of rubbing alcohol, it helps with the itch as well but not as effective.

Greens!  Collard, turnip, or mustard grow year round in East Texas.
Heidi Schmidt,

Yes, you got it exactly right my friend!  You must be a fellow sky swimmer!  I never knew it was called forest bathing!
I felt the urge to do it and it has become my most powerful form of meditation!  I witnessed 3 shooting stars in less than one minute
one night.  My latest obsession is sky swimming and then videoing the sky as if I am still sky swimming.  SPECTACULAR!!!
I had always loved sitting outside just admiring the stars.  But when you look up, and pretend you are swimming with your arms and turn and swim
in all directions you reach a different level.  Back in February, someone actual stole the toilet from my camper out here on 17 acres in Texas.  So,
I learned really quickly about making composting toilets.  And because they just ripped it out and broke the water line, I also had to learn quickly about
bathing outdoors.  I found for myself, I loved bathing in a kiddy swimming pool or just showering under the stars.  At first it was a bit odd I have to admit,
but then I felt more connected to nature on new levels.  The deeper I dive into moving toward a totally off grid experience, the more I appreciate
life and am gaining a much stronger stance on protecting our natural resources.  Sky swimming is a totally sober and humbling experience for me.
One does not need to be right next to a river or a mountain to feel like they are on an adventure!  How fantastic it is that mindful waking meditation can take us
soaring through the sky and walk right back to our slumber to continue the journey!  I hope to share this experience with others and also invite anyone to just
step out under the stars and SWIM into the universe!

One Love!!!

Hello,
I'm creating a unique camping/gardening/sustainable living/art and musician friendly situation in Texas.  In saying this, I do not allow illegal drugs
on our site and only folks who are willing to sweat with us in the Texas heat would probably be interested at this time of the year.
Currently, I am in need of people who have carpentry skills, permaculture experience, cob building, gardening skills, blogging, art, and musical
skills.  I have primitive campsites for tent camping and a shared area for running water, cooking, etc.  I respect all diet choices.
My son and I are making the most of family land and enjoy nature, animals, permaculture, art, music, and kind people.  It's been a solo effort
getting this going up to this point, and I have had to overcome some hurdles along the way to make sure the land is not mistreated.
However, I feel it is the right time to start making new friends who might want to come camp and help out, teach, and learn in exchange for a temporary camping site
and basic vegan meals....(beans and rice and garden vegetables).  We live on a fixed modest income but we know how to live happily.  We
were boots at Wheaton Labs for a brief time back in May and love all things permie.  There are a few beautiful creeks within 10 miles from our
site as well as a nice large lake for driftwood and petrified wood hunting as well as fishing (you will need a license).  It's never boring around here to say the least!  Due to Covid 19, we
will limit the number of guests.  Projects will be building some bush crafted structures in the woods, digging lines to run water, building outdoor showers,
creating driftwood shade structures and fences, pulling weeds, raking pine needles, collecting pine cones to make wreaths, building shelves in the storage structure,
building a greenhouse from recycled water bottles from our local town, building a cob pizza oven, and various fun meaningful projects.
Anyone with experience in building a rocket mass heater is also very welcome and will get to be our guest in the air conditioned guest area.  We hope to have the
rocket mass heater and cob oven in place before November.  If you don't like to work, laugh, sweat, and can't tolerate bug bites, then you may want to pass us up!
Oh and you have to play nice and get along well with others soberly.  Looking forward to making new friends and creating a unique space on this wonderful place we call Earth.
Would love to have an experienced herbalist/botanist come help identify all plants on the property.

Best Wishes,
Amy

Am I the only person wanting to spend some stimulus money on plastic wrap to try this out?
