Retired, overweight, need exercise, and love tomatoes from southern Illinois soil. One year ago I started trimming encroaching Brazilian pepper trees abutting 2 sides of my property and just started composting, catching rain in barrels, scything the street ditch, building a hugelkultur and looking to start a vermiculture. All advice for a novice would be helpful.

Tried to open audiofile on my PC with Edge browser, but it says I don't have an app for this file.  Do you understand that because I don't.

Thank you, Dre, I ordered a sickle today and if I win another one from this post I will give it to my daughter who likes what I am doing around my property.

That makes me smile too and I think it is a tremendous idea.  Thank you for spreading your "seed" of thought with us and I will do my part.  Have a blessed life!

I attempted a tea from my first batch of compost using a faded, thin shirt for a tea bag in a 5 gallon bucket.  I added 2-3 tablespoons of unsulphured molasses and stirred twice a day for 4 days.  Could that work?  I poured it from the bucket onto the patch of ground that had been covered by my Ecobin composter adding cut sprigs of St. Augustine grass.
