The next Cascadia Permaculture Teacher Training facilitated by Jude Hobbs will be happening June 15th to the 23rd, 2024.

In this dynamic and interactive course we offer teaching techniques encouraging ways to apply Permaculture principles and strategies in a wide range of educational settings. We demonstrate a combination of diverse teaching modalities, including effective use of lecture, storytelling, small group work, interactive experiential activities, visual aids and hands-on.  Participants build confidence by engaging in essential practice via preparing and co-teaching a variety of presentations as well as being co-facilitators of this course.

This course is designed for educators, community activists, designers, farmers, gardeners, professional teachers wanting to expand and fine-tune their Permaculture knowledge, Permaculture Design Course graduates, and anyone who wishes to share the knowledge of systems thinking and integrated self-reliant living strategies.

The course will be held at the Center for Rural Livelihoods nestled in the beautiful Cottage Grove, Oregon.
Tuition: $900.00 - $985.00  Sliding Scale.  Includes instruction, course materials, food and lodging.   We are committed to encouraging BIPOC communities along this career path. We are open to adapting fees to insure your attendance in this course.

In this 7-day dynamic and interactive course we offer teaching techniques encouraging ways to apply Permaculture principles and strategies to a wide range of audiences and educational settings. This is achieved by demonstrating a combination of diverse teaching modalities, including effective use of lecture, storytelling, small group work, interactive experiential activities, visual aids and hands-on.

Participants build confidence by engaging in essential practice via preparing and co-teaching a variety of presentations as well as being co-facilitators of this course.

As a group we are empowered to create a safe setting of active learning. We cultivate building strong networks to support one another via group projects and connections post-course.

The focus of this course is to guide participants to share information in many types of situations, such as at: workshops, PDC’s, libraries, schools, and other venues.

the design and teaching fields. As an educator, she conveys her passion for permaculture by providing curricula
developed to encompass diverse learning styles with teaching techniques that are accessible, inspiring and
information rich. Jude co-tends Wilson Creek Gardens, a 7-acre homestead and demonstration site located in
Cottage Grove, Oregon.

Teaching Assistant: Erick Meza
Erick teaches with the Sonoran Permaculture Guild and is the education coordinator at Las Milpitas Community
Farm, a project of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. He also does private consultation on Permaculture
projects in the borderlands of Arizona and Sonoran, Mexico.

I will be leading two Permaculture Teacher Trainings this year. The 10th Annual PTT is coming right up (March 23 - 30) at OUR Ecovillage in beautiful Shawnigan Lake, Vancouver Island, B.C.
