We have always slept in an unheated room with the window open and after many years of discomfort I use heated rice-filled cotton bags at my feet with one for my hands.

After suffering for years, I started using rice filled cotton bags (or even socks with a knot tied off) that have been heated by (ack!) microwave oven, placed around where my feet rest, creating a toasty cave under the covers. I started with two and now am up to five at my feet and one for my hands. I think I'll try setting them in the electric oven on its lowest setting when the weather cools off.

We used to have them in old  gopher holes , Try peppermint based foaming spray AT NIGHT well after all wasps are in nest in ground . Bury any possible entrance with dirt or sand after spraying- good luck!

Hester is absolutely right about how baby goats love cuddles. So you are better off focusing on getting the milk stand set up for when you do want to wean the kids and start milking your doe. The milk stand is also an excellent tool for safely restraining any goat when you have to trim hooves, vaccinate ,groom and check for ticks or cuts etc. Are the two kids both doelings? Their new owners will appreciate future milkers that are already trained to the stand! Also you want a place that your first time freshener can feel safe while she is eating those extra treats to help keep her milk flowing. If the stand is  built wide enough there will be room for her and both kids while they are still small . Set the time (s) of day or evening that you will consistently be milking her and have that be treat time.
it is possible that shaded grass is less palatable due to lack of vitamin D2 and other nutrients which only emerge within the leaf cells as a result the plants of being exposed to direct sun ,however in the case of random super green looking clumps it is a result of the site having been peed or pooped on in the not so distant past (extra nitrogen)

greetings, fellow permies! after a couple years of passivity, I am finally brave enough to engage in online conversations! My best use of worn socks has been to fill them with pea gravel and use them like small sandbags as seasonal water bars on our hillside dirt and gravel road. They can be driven over by vehicles yet still do the job when there's a gully washer. In the dry season just place them at the edge of the drive.
