Dez, was it explained somewhere else on what basis the dimensions of the windows in the solarium were chosen? It seems like the window space could have been larger if south facing with insulating curtains countering the heat loss when needed. John—great question.. some 3/8” tempered glass was donated to us by a permie.. several panes of this premade.. it’s really beautiful stuff.. if you look a few pictures back, you’ll see a rectangle section in the frame next to the window which in a later iteration can be for a screened window vent or perhaps something to allow more sunlight in.. hope this helps! Also a later iteration can involve double or triple pane window system of the same width/height..

Had a bit of a mishap yesterday.. forgot to write my gratitudes..
….. today I’m grateful for home sweet home because Long story short I unexpectedly spent the night in a car.. at least it was a warm car.. grateful for friends who care.. about me.. grateful for cats who don’t really care, but they’re at home sweet home making home feel like home..
