Sometimes we get sent gifts that are so wonderful we need a new thread to fill with gratitude. This thread shall be that thread!

We'll begin with a big fat thank you to Justin Rhodes the Permaculture Chicken Guy! He sent Paul an Amazon gift card to spend on audiobooks and the like to keep his mind off how much time he has to spend lying in bed in pain. Paul is super stoked about it and is now happily watching season 2 of Rick and Morty in between doing what work he can.

Thanks, Justin! And if anyone is thinking "Why is he called the permaculture chickens guy?", here you go - https://permies.com/t/51492/.

Thanks, Justin!

A gift came in the mail! Sa-weet!!

This is a cool homestead business, foodforestfarms.com, using biodynamic and permaculture methods, that roasts their own coffee, sells green coffee beans, handmade soaps and nursery items (in the Seattle area).

Thank you guys!!

(See our other thank you threads:

A thread to say thank you - though this is more about permies and permies.com staff.
gapper love thread - this is for awesome things sent to gappers and boots here at wheaton labs
the thank you thread from wheaton labs - this is a good one, too, that I'll probably keep as more specific to wheaton labs.)

(I've sucked at thanking all gift senders - I'll try to do better.)

Ever heard of Christopher Moore? Paul looooves this author! I enjoy him too!

So imagine how happy we were to receive this advance copy of Noir by Christopher Moore (Amazon affiliate link) - so cool!!

Thank you Jami!!

Other permies threads on Christopher Moore books:
  • A Dirty Job - this happens to be my personal favorite
  • a mention of Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal (another Amazon affiliate link) in this post in Paul's thread about "I want to do what you are doing"

When someone sends you the most amazing art:   handmade, handwoven textiles of their own design, in earthy tones that are just beautiful.

Then you take pictures outside (after sweeping the turkey poo off the picnic table and laying down a clean, ecru colored sheet)....annnd NONE of the pictures do them justice!!

These are more lovely than my picture represents.

    Even the stamps were fun!

    THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

(By the way, in some thank you posts, I have not named names to protect the innocent, er, kind souls who might not wish to be named.)

How lucky (special) you are! Those are gorgeous!!! I've been zooming in on the picture to notice every detail and they are perfect. The colors are so lovely and could accent any decor. (I'd probably not be able to use them, afraid I'd damage them some way.) A beautiful gift from a genuinely kind soul for sure.

These are some rather awesome permaculture t-shirts! Thank you Kristie Harper with Creative Oasis!!

You, too, could win one of these beauts - over at https://permies.com/t/86209/Enter-WIN-REGENERATION-Giveaways-hrs.

Again, my photography does not do these justice, so follow the link above for a better picture.

By, they way, the Creative Oasis folks are also talking about ferrocement and giving away .pdf instructions at https://permies.com/t/85760/BUILD-LIFE-FREE-PDF-Ferrocement.

This gift card was an FANTASTIC gift, though I think it's the sentiment that's priceless.

Thank you SO much kind sir.

You help put wind beneath Paul's wings in so many ways.
