Greetings,

We are a Black-led regenerative farming collective seeking land access and opportunities to expand our farm programming and/or social enterprises. Through potential collaboration and/or partnership with aligned individuals, groups and/or organizations.

Our organization is currently going through a transition and is loosing access to two of our urban farm sites. In this current situation we see opportunity to expedite the planned growth of our farmers collective and programming. We our in immediate need to find location(s) to house the following livestock:

- (1) Male Meishan Pig; (1) Female Meishan Pig (recent litter)*

- (1) Male Goat, (1) Male Kid; (1) Female Goat, (2) Female Kids (of mixed dairy lines)*

- (2) Ram; (7) Ewe, (Babydoll Sheep)

- (50) Utility King pigeons

We also have, (3) Male, (3) Female Decker Rat Terriers that we are looking to rehome immediately or we’ll need to find rescue center(s) for. Previously they were employed as working farm dogs to deter ground squirrels from entering perimeter of crop production area(s).

Some of the programming and/or enterprises we are seeking land access for and/or collaboration(s) on are:

- A Meishan Pig conservancy and production program modeled after Fannie Lou Hamer’s “Piggy Bank” initiative.

- Building up a small goat herd for field/landscape maintenance and/or micro-dairy production.

- Pigeons for farm-to-table squab and/or cold-manure production for adding to compost (for soil amendment/crop production).

- Babydoll Sheep for conservancy and landscape management (also for potential wool spinning resource).

We are also interested in potentially establishing:

- a mini fruit orchard (on land with available long-term access).

- a micro/local chicken hatchery

- a plant nursery

- a market-garden (with commercial high-tunnels)

For those who might be seriously interested in any portion of this and/or know of others who might be. Please email directly with contact information so that direct dialogue can begin to take place. Time is of the essence with this current transition we are experiencing.

Thanks for reading.

Welcome to Permies!

It might be helpful to indicate where you are located or what region you would be looking to work in.  We have an international community that frequents the forums.

What is your organizations name?
