Kickstarter Support

This is a place for folks who are having trouble accessing the Kickstarter Support Forum to ask questions, watch permies magic tricks happen, and in most cases, witness the world becoming a better, shinier place before their very eyes.

In 97.3% of cases, all problems are resolved when you add your kickstarter email address as a secondary email address in you permies account.  

Like this:

get your kickstarter email address from your kickstarter settings:







then add your kickstarter email address as a secondary email address for your permies account:









If that works for you, great!  If it doesn't or if you are the 2.7% who have some other challenge, leave a comment below and we'll get you sorted.

What works for "97.3%" of folks doesn't work for me, ...can you help? I don't have a 2nd or 3rd email!

Going to "My Stuff" doesn't work either. What am I missing?

Hi, I kickstartered for the tiny download. When I download the file its in .jpg and opens in the Photos program and says it doesn't support this file. How do I watch the tiny download?

Hi.  I signed up for Kickstarter using my Apple ID and a private email address that’s exclusive to Kickstarter.  When I put this email address into the secondary email the confirmation request from permies is not forwarded to my regular email.  My understanding is only emails from Kickstarter will be forwarded.  Do you have any thoughts on how I can get around this?

Nope. FYI: I have also noticed my debit card was not withdrawn from. I assume the $1.00 donation level still get to watch the Master Garden course by Helen somehow?

Everything but the video I was told I would receive. How about a link with the entire video of Helen's presentation. I don't see it anywhere.

I looked you up on our kickstarter backer report and see that your $1 was collected, and you are on our list of folks who get everything under the "Thanks" header.

There is no Helen presentation at the $1 level.

Hmmm, seems to me that's the add I saw posted. Has it now been withdrawn?

I am having this problem also. I backed for the tiny download. I don't have "sufficient privileges" to view the kickstarter support. Also it's not listed in "my stuff" that I can find.

I forgot to mention, I did verify I use the same email.

Donald, I see your pledge and have verified your email address is the same in kickstarter and permies.

I have read the troubleshooting ideas for if I'm having a hard time getting access. I think my problem is that I don't have the original Kickstarter email address or app. I had to download the app to join the Kickstarter but when my phone was having issues, it got uninstalled. I can get into some things using my phone email but I can't transfer to my computer to open things (in a way that makes them readable) because I don't have the original address anymore. Even if I can get the email on my computer, I can't access the 'gifts' . I believe that my original connection has been lost.

I am one of the poor souls that can't access their "stuff"- I eagerly changed my main email here to match my kickstarter email (without first seeing this handy thread about adding secondary) - I am unsure if there may be a lag in updating- but when I go into my email and click the links sent from the girl bot- it takes me to permies, but just says I don't have sufficent access. I hope I can get sorted- am looking forward to enjoying this content in my 15 minutes of farmer free time (ie late at night before I pass out)

I can’t see the videos I should have access to the full event. Kickstarter shows that all video are available. Is that wrong?

Hi Paul,

No I can't get into the forum.. :/  It still says "I don't have sufficient privileges"  argh

I went over to kickstarter( just to double check everything on my end and my email(s) etc are the same etc) I can see the updates for all the roll outs as a backer etc-but if I follow those direct links from kickstarter to permies-........I'm still not cool enough to get access to any backer forums/content.

I'm stumped. (especially that you can see the "K" by  my name as a backer) What should we (I) do?

No big deal/rush- my gorging on all this awesome content would be slow and steady in aforementioned 15 min of free time at the witching hour. I am looking forward to checking it all out though; hopefully someone can help me get access...
