Alex, I think you're in the right place! Welcome to Permies!

PS, I find that "hoping for better things" is most effective whilst employing a sharp shovel. Cheers!

Hello Alex,
So you’re of Scottish extraction? Welcome to Permies. I love reading here about the different (and similar) problems people face around the world. It’s good to share. I have two sisters and their families who moved to NSW about 15 years ago.
If you use the ‘quote’ button to reply this will make it more obvious which is your post and which the post you were replying to. Hope this helps.

Hello Nancy,
So you’re of Scottish extraction?
Yes, I am ethnically Scottish, However I am proudly Australian.

Looking forward to enjoying that also!
What really excites me is how people overcome challenges and how people can make the most out of various situations!

And thanks for the advice on the quote button!

Hmm, the quote hasn't worked for you.
Looks like you don't need the spaces in the square brackets.  Can you still edit it? (That permission gets more lenient the more you get into Permies)

The two armies met. But instead of battle, they decided to eat some pie and contemplate this tiny ad:
Thank you & 30% off everything in the nursery!
