We have been working on our homestead for the last 8 years or so with hand tools.  It's been quite the experience with many lessons learned.  Studying Permaculture has helped us greatly, this has been an awesome resource, thanks everyone!  We have some opportunities calling us out west or we'd be sticking around.  We love it here, we will miss the land and the people.

FSBO $165,000 No owner financing.

Colebrook NH Single Family 1,152 sq ft house for sale by the owner. We will have our real estate agent list the house in a month or two at a higher price if we don’t sell it on our own.  Showings by appointment only starting March 1st 2021.  Enquire by email:   Queensnuff@gmail.com

Come check out our homestead in progress in the Great North Woods! It’s a 2 bedroom, 1 office, 1 full bath, full basement house on a 5.7 acre mature hardwood forest lot! About 1 acre is cleared for yard and garden. The house has a forced air wood furnace as well as a propane monitor furnace and either one can heat the whole house. The roof and windows were just replaced, and everything has a fresh coat of paint on it with updated outlets and light fixtures. High speed internet available. The 1000 gallon septic tank was drained in December. There is a drilled well which has never gone dry. Besides getting little seedlings started, we almost never water in our garden! It has 8 or more inches of rich black topsoil. In the garden are many perennials: about 10 or so variety of young apple trees, a few have already started producing; 1 cherry and 1 plum that are self fertile; 2 nanny berries; 2 wild raisins; 2 serviceberries; 3 elderberries; 6 or more rose bushes of 3 varieties; about 20 honeyberries; about 40 blueberries, high and low bush; an asparagus bed; raspberries; strawberries; ground nuts; egyptian walking onions; horseradish; and around 50 to 100 garlic planted in the fall. Then there’s the many wild edibles and medicines as well as the mature maples in the woods, from which about 30 gallons of maple syrup could be harvested a year. We started thinning a little in the woods, with the intent of making a potential silvopasture. There is a ~300 sq ft woodshed with about a year’s worth of seasoned wood. The road is not town maintained, but it hardly matters as the neighbors are very helpful and plow and maintain it themselves! Located about a mile from town but feels remote with lovely views. Move-in ready March 1st 2021.
