Hello! My dog and I are looking for our first community. We are completely new and very open and excited about learning. When I say we are new I mean I’m 18 and have absolutely no idea what I’m doing, all I know is, I don’t want to live in this consumer type society. I’m all sorts of queer, my pronouns are he/they.

My dog’s name is Navi, bonus points if you can tell what video game character I named her after, she is a pit bull lab mix. She has a bit of anxiety towards humans because she was abused but she is slowly getting over that, she is a mom towards animals, she licks dogs that bark at her and she is obsessed with bird watching. She is a big baby and is just spooked by things easily so I hope to find people who understand animals emotions. I am super good at making tea and I’m learning how to be a better cook. I’ve got a semi green thumb but I definitely have a lot more to learn. I recently made my own kimchi which I’m super pumped about. I’m an artist but I get distracted super easily so it takes me forever to finish projects, plus the ideas just keep on flowing.

I may be short but I can lift a lot of heavy things and I enjoy getting my hands dirty. I went to Sno Isle tech school for auto body and collision repair and I have put way to many hours into mechanic simulator. I am super determined to get back into ceramics because I built some cool stuff when I had the proper setting. I don’t recommend playing with clay next to a giant pine tree on a windy day. That wasn’t fun.

I will admit, I don’t have much money and I’m very much a newb to this but I am entirely drained from the normal way of life and I’ve made up my mind that I won’t let myself but especially my Navi, continue to live like this. I’m hoping we can find a place where we belong.

You might check at the North West Intentional Communities Association - NICA https://nwcommunities.org/, as well as at IC.org which has a national database.

Did you just should on me? You should read this tiny ad:
