Hello everyone! New to permies and looking for farm/homestead work in exchange for room and board. I'm covid-19 free and hoping to stay that way. I am a solid person and a hard worker. If anyone could use some extra help, I'm your man. About Me: Male, 30's. Primarily worked in Landscaping and yard maintenance over the years, but I can perform a variety of tasks: carpentry, plumbing, gardening, etc. I enjoy playing music with friends and fishing when I get free time. Anything outdoors is enjoyable to me really. Love to read and learn new things. Right now, I want to learn as much as I can so that I can eventually start a homestead of my own and achieve self-sufficiency. I'm convinced now, more than ever, that self-sufficiency is going to become more essential to survival in the years to come. Social distancing sucks and I'm ready to get my hands dirty. Prefer somewhere in Washington state but I will travel out of state for the right opportunity. Please PM me if anybody has an opportunity available. Stay safe and God Bless.
Come join the bootcamp at Wheaton Labs, it sounds like just what you're looking for. Lots of hard work but you'll get tons of hands on experience working on super cool permaculture projects (we're getting ready to build a greenhouse that won't need heat in the Montana winter, you could get in on that). Not only that, but once you've been here a month you can do your own experiments on an acre on the weekends, or even earn a year of rent on that acre with just four months of work. We're in Montana so not too far from you either.
We've got lots of cool people here, and from the sounds of it you could be another one! More info here.
