Hello!

We are a small community (10 people) on an eco-retreat on Bainbridge Island (30 minute ferry from Seattle), and we are seeking new community members. Sending out feelers on permies, hoping to find someone out there! We live on 10 acres of incredible, forested land that has a rich history as a community healing space.

The land is devoted to offerings for the community, as well as residential space. We are looking for at least one person to join the residential portion of this land. There are shared kitchen/bathroom/living room spaces that serve as the community hubs for those of us living in shared spaces on the land. We have a thriving garden, chickens/ducks/a neighborhood goat share, and most of the land is kept in its forested state. Projects on this land abound, including various permaculture experiments, grief work, earth ritual, an emerging artist/activist residency, and more. People with project dreams and event facilitation dreams are encouraged! Open and excited to create community with folx of any age, any ability status, any race/national origin/orientation/gender identity, folx with kids, couples, etc. We are justice oriented, and are trying to live fiercely, with love, close to the earth and to each other. Happy to give more details (rent cost, specifics on which rooms/buildings are available, etc) to those who are interested. Don't wanna get too specific on this public-to-the-whole-world forum. : )

Also, as I'm new here, do let me know if this would be better in a different corner of the forum universe, or if there are other sites that would be good to post on (we already did FIC).

Thanks!

Hi Katey, can you say anything about the demographics and diversity of your group? Ethnicities, sexual orientations? Thanks.

You might investigate the Northwest Intentional Communities Association - I think their focus is on the Cascadia Bioregion - Oregon, Washington, British Columbia.

Hi George (hopefully I'm responding to this right? I haven't used a forum since like 2002!)...

Demographics - we span between ages 4-70, with the highest percentage of folx being in their 30s. The majority of the 12 of us are white, with a smaller portion of the current group identifying as mixed race. Spectrum represented in terms of sexual orientation and gender identity.
