Very cute, but VERY messy! I hatched and raised both of my geese but, since these were already a few days old when I got them they haven't imprinted like the goslings did, so they're a bit more skittish.
Right now they're in my guest bathroom, using a tote as a brooder with a heat lamp clamped to the towel rack. I've been running a few inches of
water in the tub and letting them have "bath and splash" time every day while I clean out the tote that they manage to completely soil in under 24 hours. Now, it seems like they're already outgrowing their tote, so will probably move to a larger brooder in the rabbit barn this weekend.
Hopefully I can have them fairly tame by the time they feather out. Lately I've been bribing with immature sweet peas and mealworms, and if I can get them to trust me enough, we'll start learning how to hunt slugs and snails in the gardens. 🤞
