Hi all;
Gary Larson has been my all time favorite comic for years.
It was so sad for us when he decided  to retire.

Today I discovered a Gary Larson Website!!! Best of all it will include occasional new comics from the Master!!!

Here is the link ) https://www.thefarside.com/      ENJOY!

Best comic ever.  I used to read it in the Mercury News back in San Jose as a kid, most of the other comics were too "wordy"/long for my attention, lol.   A few words, and a great picture to back them up.  Genius.

He's an interesting guy.  I watched an old interview on him on 20/20 a few months ago.  It's bad quality (probably vhs to digital).

Thomas, thanks so much for the link.  The Far Side is my absolute favourite.

Joshua, thanks for the video.  I don't have the bandwidth to watch now, but I'll watch it at work.

In the fall of 1990 I went to university and I never got a paper, so I didn't see many of the comics after that.  This is a new one to me that gives me breed envy:

Gotta get me a longcow and some tall chickens...

A Larson-coined anatomical term became unofficially adopted by the paleontology community. And I suspect that he may have been inspired by some of Charles Addams work.

The term "nest of weiner dogs" has entered my vocabulary in the most unusual places thanks to Gary Larson.

I think this was one of his? Just saw it the other day.

Edit: apparently not, but I think he would have wished he'd thought of it! 😂

I'm not a horse fan, so this one was always one of my favourites.
