Well, I have a tab at a local restaurant, we drop off wood scraps from our furniture operation as we are delivering products to people and they give me free food, beverages, etc. I get rid of the wood scrap pile, they don't pay for wood, I get free food, drinks, etc.

I guess that the beer could be free if you used their free wi-fi to hack your way into their POS terminal.

There was a band in SoCal in the 90's " Free Beer and Sex " . Great marketing ploy if your being paid with cover charge.

We have a juggler named Acron who works the waterfront tourist area in Victoria. Whenever he wants to draw a crowd at the beginning of a show, he yells "free beer". When they arrive he innocently asks,"does anyone know where to get free beer" and the show begins.
