Hey everyone! Like a number of other folks, I can't edit my previous posts. So I wanted to write a new one since time has flown on by and things have changed somewhat. I'm still seeking community, and even more so, someone to share my farm with!

First, the living situation: One big 'ol farmhouse on 9 pristine acres in northern SE. Michigan with insane amounts of potential. The home is currently occupied by me, my amazing housemate and our raggamuffin assemblage of animals and kiddos. We have a room we would love to fill with another amazing human person.

Next, who I am:  I’m Bri, a 33 (oh wow! it let me edit!) year old free thinking, earth worshiping, lover of all things. I should also add that I am unconventionally partnered to someone who lives a distance from here, and always will (ask questions if you're confused) and a mother of 2 small humans.  I am a firm believer in love without boundaries. I wouldn’t call myself polyamorous, but I can tell you after (amicably) ending a marriage and relationship of 14 years, it has become apparent that no one person can be someone else’s everything.

My housemate and I are looking for community. A tribe, people with whom to be vulnerable, intentional, productive, communicative, loving. I want friends who connect on an emotional, intellectual, maybe even spiritual level.
I seek the perfection in imperfection. For me, that comes with knowing we are all responsible for our own actions and reactions.

I am in the process of reigniting my Clinical Massage and bodywork practice of 11 years, honing in on my artistic talents, finding ways to make this home and land work for me, and scaling down my hours at my "grown up" job. While I do love that job, I realized after going through the motions of earning a graduate degree and starting on a conventional career path I'm not cut out for the rat race and am ready to find a sustainable life utilizing the abundance that is right in front of my face.

My passions include spending as much time outdoors as possible, hiking, camping, swimming in lakes, gardening and just generally being productive.

Perhaps I sound like someone you would enjoy connecting with. Perhaps I sound like someone who you would enjoy being housemates with. Either way, I would love to start a conversation.

Though I'm not good at growing, I do love animals and I"m also an artist. I currently live in Oregon, but it'd be cool to travel again.  I do massage therapy a little, but it's rare. I'm also very spiritual, and laid back. I'd write more but am a bit shy publicly. Would love to know more, feel free to PM me.

"looking for her tribe"

YES YES YESS!
I feel I've been searching for something like that for a while to be honest.

hiya!
  My name is Julia,
I am currently a Massage Therapist in Fl and am tied of the rate race as well. I feel I have more purpose to fufil while being more engaged, thankful, and resourceful with our natural home(earth); that could help people both physically and mentally. I dream I'm currently trying to follow and i feel this is my first step. I will definitely need to learn a few thing but i enjoy new education and catch on quick if willing to teach? If not that is okay, I'm also interested in the upcoming Permies bootcamp in Feb.
Im 23 and my dad along with other family members live in MI, however I have only been back to visit; I haven't lived there since i was a lil' wee thang. I feel this would be really cool as a first step in doing what i love, becoming more connected, "coming back home" and being close to family still.
i enjoy all the same recreational activities you mentioned :) maybe if this works out you could show me around to a few cool spots!

just curious: How many kids do you have/ages? Would my lap dog be able to tag along? Is it possible for me to attend the bootcamp in feb. and after join your tribe? L

astly, are you willing to build a small shelter on your property?

Bri, hello my name is Brandy. Family calls me Aunt B. I first wanted to say thank you! I have been single for 14 years now and it has been by choice. My kids have grown now and are moving on with their adulthood lives. I decided this morning to get on here and find like minded people that want to live off grid and seriously build relationships.  I felt very awkward and reluctant until I read your post. You are super fun, and have a very light filled bubbly personality. I adore that. I need a human and soul like you in my life, even if just as penpals. It's almost as if you were writing about myself in so many parts of your post. I know we have many things in common and probably a few we that we don't. But, that's the fun in learning new things and trying new experiences, right?!! I really dont want to put everything on this forum. If you are interested in adding a genuine, loving and kind friend to your little circle I would be honored to talk and get to know one another.

Hi all. I don’t know how to remove posts, but everything has changed since I originally wrote this post nearly 3 years ago, it seems? Or however long ago it was- because I’ll be turning 35. I am happy to chat, but as of today 1/23/2020, I will be taking highest and best offers on my property and moving away from here.

It's just like a fortune cookie, but instead of a cookie, it's pie. And we'll call it ... tiny ad:
