Might be Sow Thistle. We have them here and they look like 6 foot tall dandelion plants, yellow flowers and big puffy seed heads. Seem to pop up over night. They are related to dandelions so that's probably why they look so similar...

I'm leaning towards dandelion or chicory. There are a lot of different varieties of both, some bloom at different times of year, some don't bloom every year. Some leaf dandelions can grow ginormous in the right conditions, with the right soil, in the shade. If it is a tasty dandelion, you may have people begging for seed.

There is a dandelion by the boot which is much smaller and has already bloomed. This plant shows no blooms or flower buds yet. Although, this late I'd think docks would be in bloom too. They are here and chicory is blooming too.

What is the sap like when you break a leaf?
It looks edible, so if you can spare the room, you could let it flower and see what it is.

Hi, Trying to decide whether to keep these in a perennial garden. Kinda eliminated dandelion and chicory from the possibilities but not 100% on that. Leaves foot long or more and no flowering yet. If anyone has suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Aaron
