1 and 2 are honeysuckle, 3 is smooth buckthorn.
None are edible or at least not appetizing.

my vote for #1 & 2 is some species of honeysuckle.
do you remember what the flowers looked like?

Just off the cuff, first bush looks like an autumn olive or goumi....

Bush #3 - also on bike path. More sparse bush, less fountainy looking, alternate leaf attachment, lighter green leaves. Berries are sparser too and ripen to dark purple.

Any ideas?

Bush #2 - on a bike path nearby. Looks a lot like #1, but a little different shade berry and darker green leaves. Might be the same species?

These three bushes have red berries on them now (July 9 - Massachusetts). All woody shrubs, about 2m tall.

Bush #1 - growing near my house. Looks like opposite leaves, about 2-3cm long. Fountain-like growth habit.
