Hi Marilyn! Welcome to Permies, and welcome to SkIP.
I think what you're offering sounds quite compelling just as it is.
Perhaps if you make a new thread (here in the PEP forum, perhaps), doing so may help you keep track of the people you converse with.
You may also consider sharing your general locale, so folks have a general idea of how far away you are from them.
Depending on how choosy you want to be, you may also consider setting a minimum PEP Certification for people you invite to work with you. For instance, this October at Wheaton Labs there's a free event that's only open to people who are BB20 Certified.
I know Paul expects in the future there to be similar events only for people who are PEP1 Certified, although no one has that level of certification yet.
Whatever you do, welcome! And best of luck getting in touch with kind, industrious people to work with you on your land.
"What're those points?" You ask?
This is where Paul comes in. With his list of freebies. If, by October 11th, 11:59pm Mountain Time, you've got posts in the above threads that meets the requirements of being certified, you get the listed points, and you get to cash in those points for freebies following the list below. Easy-peasy.

The Short-Short version: Make Stuff: Post in the BB thread the thing you made, and all the required pictures to be Certified.
Earn Stuff:Be Certified before October 12th Mountain Time, and you get those points to spend on the freebies.
Get Stuff: Spend your points! Post in this thread after October 12th with a link to your certified BB(s), and say which freebie(s) you want.
Some PEP badges allow for oddball points. This was introduced in this thread.
When submitting something in the official Oddball badge, you get points based on the time it would take a professional to do the same task if they have a bit of luck.
When submitting something within a badge that allows oddball points (Homesteading, Metalworking, etc), they are based on the time it would take a talented newbie to do the same task.
When you did something that should be in a badge but there isn't a BB for it, post about it in that badge and maybe it will become a BB. If that badge allows oddball points, you can submit it there, otherwise it has to go into Oddball badge.
You welded up a 20 foot unicorn - put it into the Metalworking Oddball thread
You made a candle - put it in the regular Oddball thread since it isn't a clear fit for an existing badge
You build a pump house - post it in Homesteading since it should be a BB there and/or put it in Homesteading Oddball
I'm sure this has been discussed before. I'm sure it was a robust and vigorous debate.* I just can't find that old thread. Also, there is a new angle to consider.
I'd like to revive whatever discussion occurred about signatures being visible in mobile view.
I'd like to advocate that doing so will further promote SkIP by making PEP Badges visible to the other half of Permies users (i.e. mobile).
*I'm also sure this is a contentious enough topic that I should be donating apples in order to create this thread.
This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum. Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Plumbing.
In this Badge Bit, you will set up a siphon from a water source downhill to a location, and move at least 20 gallons. Indoor sources are ok. (Note that this BB is part of a 6-part choose your own adventure list BB called the Tiny List. You must complete six Badge Bits in the Tiny List.)
Some related information:
To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
- set up a siphon from a water source downhill to a location
- the siphon should move at least 20 gallons
To show you've completed this Badge Bit, you must provide:
- a picture of the water source without the siphon
- a picture of you setting up the siphon
- a picture of water arriving somewhere else
- OR a 2-minute video of you doing this
