Yep, there's quite a few in my area, Tampa bay. Although I haven't found too many on this site... If you're near St Pete they have bimonthly gaia's garden study group sessions, check it out on meetup.com.

Just joined. I am in the Orlando area. I am starting to convert my backyard but so far all I seem to have is Mutual of Omaha. Grasses & weeds. Bugs duking it out. But I would rather have that then my kids tramping through herbicides and pesticides. I am hoping to start some clover next spring. I thought I might try the fukuoka seed balls with the clover so I don't have to till the ground. It might be fun for the kids too. My wife would rather have grass but maybe I can make this work. The front yard is suburbia driven (HOA) but I have zoysia so the only thing I am dropping on it is fungicides (pests don't really go after it with all the delicious St Augustine in the other yards around me that the neighbors cut WAY too short). Has anyone tried to maintain a sustainable permaculture yard in a typical small suburbia fenced backyard?
