There are some herbal events that will be of interest to many.  These events have some amazing herbalist healers and teachers and are really national-level events!  Here goes:

Montana Herb Gathering, Anaconda, MT – July 22-25, 2011
http://montanaherbgathering.org
(See this thread: http://www.permies.com/permaculture-forums/7390_0/missoula-eco-forum/11th-annual-montana-herb-gathering-july-2225-2011 for more info)

NorthWest Herbal Fair, Bellingham, WA – August 19-21, 2011
http://www.nwherbalfair.com/

Rootstalk Fest, near Salem, OR - September 22-25, 2011
http://rootstalkfest.com

There are a few conferences listed at http://floracopeia.com/events/all-events as well, some may be near you.

Please add other events if you know about them, or if they are even related, from Permaculture to Homeopathy!

Two more for the list:
Herbalist Gathering II in Rice, WA - Aug 13-14 _(http://wildinrice.com), with Michael "Skeeter" Pilarski.
This is a continuation of last year's gathering for Inland NW herbalists where Ayurvedic / Oriental healers, tribal & traditional healers, folk herbalists, naturopaths, flower essense and aromatherapy practitioners share notes and discuss the future of herbalism in our area. Workshops, plant walks, lots of fresh, delicious meals; meet other herbalists from around the region!  Ann Harman of Morning Myst Botanics will do a hydrosol distillation demonstration (you'll see her at Rootstalk Fest, too).

3-day Affordable, Hybrid Construction Workshop in Rice, WA - July 2-4; July 22-24_(http://wildinrice.com) with Robert Merrill (aka Straw Man). No construction experience required.  Apply principles of permaculture design and build a structure using straw bales, rammed tires, lots of rocks, used lumber/timber, recycled windows, etc.

Tent camping or group dorm available and everyone cooks together!

That's awesome Maureen!  Can you duplicate this post in the geographic region so others nearby can know?  Here is the thread so you don't have to look!
