Food production and ecology come together in the permaculture concept of a food forest. Using nature as our template, these intentional ecosystems offer an abundance of food, medicine, habitat, and so much more. Please join us for this workshop and learn how you can apply permaculture principles in a high-yielding orchard with diverse understory and minimize your work over time. Learn design strategies for creating guilds, smooth succession, and ease in harvest. Attract wildlife and grow plants that create self-renewing fertilitiy for your garden. This workshop will discuss the permaculture concept of Food Forests. We will discuss species selection, community dynamics, various methods of implementing a Food Forest for the home landscape. This workshop is just about a week away and we have so many fabulous folks from across the bioregion coming together for this permaculture retreat. Since we have no more beds available, the fee is reduced for camping. We still have space available so contact me if you are interested in attending. Its gonna be real fun.....

"...the greatest change we need to make is from consumption to
production, even if on a small scale, in our own gardens. If only 10% of
us do this, there is enough for everyone.
Hence the futility of revolutionaries who have no gardens, who depend on
the very system they attack, and who produce words and bullets, not food
and shelter." - Bill Mollison
