We have bought our children a swing but the frame keeps pulling out of the ground. We don't want to use concrete to hold the posts in so I'm wondering about limecrete. Can it but used IN the ground? Or does anyone know of a better alternative?

Why not concrete? Lime should not be used, any rain will wash it into the soil. I am assuming it is metal, either steel or aluminum. If you could find someone to weld a 12"-16" square plate to the bottom of the foot then pile sand bags around that you could hold the foot down that way.

That's a cool idea - we know a welder. Then we could also move the blinkin' thing for mowing the grass.

fine some T posts (or other suitable stake) with a hole in the top of them or drill your own, and drive them in to the ground and bolt the swing set to the stakes, you may want to cut the tee post in half most likely 2 foot long stakes (in the dirt) would hold it fine,

another option you might look into are earth anchors or screws..strong and probably reusable for another use once the kids are long past the swing stage, and they wont leave chunks of concrete in your lawn.
